Iliada Kalamata Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

I can't claim to be an expert in Olive oil, but Greek oil from Crete is the best I've tasted. Since Aldi have discontinued their award winning Cretan oil for some reason, I've been looking for something similar to replace it for salads. (I tried various Italian and Spanish ones, but they weren't as good.) I was really surprised to see this Iliada oil from Kalamata Southern Greece in Asda of all places. It's smooth, rich, savoury and clean, with no horrible burn at the back of the throat just a slight peppery after taste. It's a first cold pressing with no preservatives or additives and has won quite a few awards. I'm going back to Asda for more of this stuff, it's excellent quality.
£6.99 for a litre is a good price too.
