Asda Extra Special Old Vine Garnacha

I reckon that the Asda/Walmart in Hulme I occasionally frequent has to be one of the most multicultural in the country. It has people of every creed and colour shopping in there, consequently there is a whole aisle totally devoted to ethnic foods that's always worth a look. The wine section has never been its strong point though it's own Extra Special range seems to be expanding and improving on every visit. I took a punt on this Extra Special Old Vine Garnacha (£8.25) from Spain. It's soft and warm and savoury, rich and fruity and would work brilliantly with red meat. I enjoyed it.
7/10
