I don't drink a lot of white wine, although I tend to when I'm in warmer climates. As I'm working my way through the
Aldi Exquisite Wine Collection I thought I'd give this new one a go. It's from
Galicia in Spain, but can also be found in Portugal as
Alvarinho. It's fresh, clean, dry and light. Slightly citrus, but not overly so, extremely drinkable and recommended to go with sea food. I really enjoyed it on it's own though.
Interestingly I noticed similar wines in other supermarkets priced at about double what Aldi have this at. So yet
another quality bargain, I'm
still yet to find a bad one in this collection. I'll keep trying though...

Just stocked up on a couple of dozen bottles of this after trying one last week. It's a reasonable Albarino at a fantastic price. Perfect for barbecues and great with seafood. I think the wine reviewers are keeping this one to themselves. Sssshhhhh!
