Taste Test: Four Craft Beers

I'm tasting four craft beers from new fine beer and wine purveyor; Tiny's Tipple in Chorlton.

Red Rocket Ale.
This tasted fresh, clean, hoppy and of dark fruits and caramel. Categorised as an American Amber/Red ale, it tastes like a darker version of an IPA. Excellent.
8/10.

Hawkshead NZPA. This was way too hoppy and bitter for me, it's not balanced at all. If you like your beer overly bitter with that grapefruit taste, you'll like this, but it wasn't for me I'm afraid.
6/10.

Mikkeller Belgian Tripel.
This is an Abbey Tripel beer by Mikkeller brewery from Copenhagen. It tastes quite typical of the style; dry, soft, sweet and mildly spicy. Not a million miles away from a Leffe blonde though quite unremarkable.
7/10.

Odell 5 Barrel Pale Ale.
Light fresh and hoppy, this would make a fantastic session ale.
Not overly bitter as the Hawkshead NZPA is, it's delicious and my star choice.
8/10.
